Traveling to Israel - Tel Aviv During the Summer Months

For many people, traveling to Israel means visiting the holy sites. Israel contains some of the most sacred Jewish, Muslim and Christian sites in the world. But Israel also contains a fascinating mixture of the modern and historical. Israel is not only about holy sites and ancient ruins, but also about a busy urban lifestyle, beautiful beaches and an exciting music scene. There can be nothing more far removed from the stereotypic image of the holy land than the bustling night life of the city of Tel Aviv. In this article we will explore some of Tel Aviv’s best attractions for tourists during the summer months.

Tel Aviv Beaches and Night Life

Tel Aviv is overwhelmed with tourists from all over the world during the summer months. Tel Aviv’s beautiful beaches are lined by its famous hotels. Summer months in Israel can be extremely hot and temperatures may go over forty degrees Celsius. Therefore, probably the best time to enjoy the beaches is early in the morning or in the afternoon and evening hours. Restaurants and pubs are located along the beaches and sometimes on the beach itself and are open until the late night hours.

White Night Festival

Tel Aviv always offers a very busy night life scene. During the summer months there are many festivals and free shows. Every year during the month of July the Tel Aviv White Night Festival takes place. During the festival there are dozens of free and reduced priced music, theater and performance shows all over the city. The shows take place from the early evening hours until the morning hours. You can take a walk down Rothschild boulevard to enjoy free music shows. The White Night Festival offers not only music concerts but also free admittance to most of the city’s museums and galleries which remain open during the night.
